So my holiday is over and I've been back at work for a week and a bit now, and, well, it doesn't bother me; I like my job; I enjoy what I'm doing. Some parts can be frustrating or repetitive, but as we move towards better structured code and use more sensible practises those moments are getting less frequent, which is nice.
Getting back to the holiday: I had a nice time. Scotland is an immensely beautiful place. We went all over the Lochalsh region and explored much of the Isle of Skye. We visited the Falls of Glomach (one of the highest waterfalls in Britain), Eileen Donan castle (one of the most photographed monuments in Scotland - and yes, I added several shots to that tally), an iron-age Broch, went on a glass-bottom boat, and more. Almost all the place signs in the area had both English and Gaelic names on them, which I thought was nice.
I've got a total of 1438 photos, which I am just over two-thirds of the way through labelling. Many of them are (at best) average, and will probably never see life outside the walls of the Adobe Lightroom library, but I do have a fair few shots that I am pleased with, and once I've labelled them all I'll be compiling an online gallery, as well as discussing some of them on here.
